This proposal consists of 6 dialogue tables regarding Hunger and the Right to Food (and its violations) in which people and organizations participating in the project will get together in several public spaces in the city. The purpose is to have an open dialogue with the citizens taking the conclusions drawn from previous project phases, mainly the documentation, creation of the webdoc and the work tables.
The choice of taking the dialogue table to faculties in the fields of economics, political science and journalism is linked to addressing the public. First, potentially interested parties (per their study curriculum), and secondly, for that potential public to intervene in the future on these issues. To reach these audiences by offering alternative views on the issue can generate a counterpoint to the entrenched cultures that generate a determined view on the international cooperation.
The public libraries choice seeks to reach as many people as possible, and at the same time, link the spaces on the fundamental information idea, general and popular culture which are symbolized by public libraries. Our objective is to build processes which allow for the analysis of the information, facilitating the knowledge and demanding the active participation of people attending, enforcing the active role -- and not the passive one of consuming-- of which they are subjects of consciousness.
